My 5 Senses

My 5 Senses! 

This week we discovered just what are 5 senses are! 

Together as a class we sorted different pictures into the 5 different senses categories on the board! We talked about how many pictures could fit into more than one category!

On Tuesday we taste tested Lemons and Watermelon! There was mixed reviews with each. We also talked about our sense of sight where we used our eyes to spy into the sensory bottles! 

On Wednesday we used our sense of smell! We painted with smelly paints and made kool aid playdough! Oh man oh man did our room smell wonderful! 

On Thursday we used our sense of touch. We practiced our handwriting by forming our letters and numbers in a hair gel baggie! We also went on a 5 senses word hunt (one of our new favorite activities)! 

On Friday we used our sense of hearing and wrapped up our week on the 5 senses! We used our scientists minds to listen to our friends speak from the other end of the cup and string! We explored with different types of cups and strings. 

We also created our very own Mr/Mrs. Potato head!!
