Friends
Friends Week! This week we learned all about the word 'friends'! We focused our discussions around who are the friends in our lives and what a friend does. We are working very hard to learn our friends names this week but of course it will take time. All of the Fox students made two new friends this week: Please welcome Roy (boy puppet) and Marshmallow (girl puppet). The students worked very hard on choosing just the right names for them! These puppets are apart of a social emotional curriculum that Fay and I are implementing in the classroom called Second Steps. Our main goal with this is to find a way to help students learn or understand compassion and empathy for others as well as how to problem solve! For centers on Monday and Tuesday we did a fun picture matching game with Miss Fay to help us remember our Fox friends names!
