Critical Thinking with Questions!

This week in the Fox Class we learned about and asked a lot of
Questions!

We first discussed how we all ask questions to learn and how learning is our most important job!
We wrote down all the ways in which a question can start: who, what, when, where, why, how, is, do, are, did and can. Then we came up with a random question for each starting word...the more this went on the sillier the question got :)

We read books about questions, Little Kids First Big Book of Why, Ada Twist Scientist, and books that inspire us to ask questions when we read, He Came With the Couch, Color Blocked, & Not Your Typical Dragon. We noticed that our brains are constantly asking questions when we read book as well as trying to make predictions!

Asking questions is awesome...but hard to take picture of...so please, sit back and enjoy these pictures of what some of the class did this week:

We practiced cutting out question marks and thought bubbles:

And made really convincing thinking faces:

We finished our earth necklaces and bracelets in Art:

We practiced writing our first and last name in shaving cream and had a drawing prompt for our journals this week:

And finally, we set our 5 butterflies free yesterday in the garden! Goodbye, Star, Fox, Larry, and Samantha!

Next week: Our parents!
