Eclipses and Concerts and Plants! Oh My!

This week was all about:
PLANTS while enjoying a fun concert and learning all about the eclipse!

Most of Monday spent prepping for and watching the eclipse! What a cool experience and learning opportunity! We made plate masks to better protect our eyes from the sun and joined the entire school outside for the big event!

On Tuesday we had a concert with Dino O'Dell!
The silly music had the class laughing the rest of the day.

We had so much fun going on a flower shape hunt around the classroom where students had to identify numbers and complex shapes and then draw the shapes in their correct box on their page!

We journaled what we would grow in our very own gardens if we had them:

And practiced our teamwork skills with a partnered flower garden painting activity!

Plants are one of many things that make our planet Earth very special!
Each student was able to plant their own seeds in their very own pots. All week long we practiced responsibility by taking care of our seeds by watering them and placing them by the window for sunlight and by the end of the week we were rewarded with tiny little sprouts!
