Pumpkins Week 2

Happy Halloween!

We had such a blast this Tuesday for Halloween with the LECC parade, the 5th grade stings concert, and the 5th grade costume parade!

All week we discussed diversity of pumpkins and how they are like people! Different on the outside but the same on the inside!
We washed our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch before sending them home on Halloween:

We used our fine when drawing pictures of pumpkins in our journals and cutting out ghosts!

A few brave souls got down and slimy while separating seeds from pulp in our biggest pumpkin and then we enjoyed hammering tees into our jack-o-lanterns to make him look more spooky:

We created our very own mini mummies and '5 Little Pumpkins' scene that took three whole days to make, ! There was lots of cutting, gluing, and stamping involved:

We had fun finding ice on our playground during one cold morning and even found one that had an impression of a leaf on it!

And finally, in Art we made model magic monsters!

Have a great Weekend!
