Our Amazing Hands

This week we focused on all the wonderful things our hands can do!
We talked about how our hands are learning how to do things just like we are and that we can all get better at things the more we practice. With this in mind, we focused our efforts on developing our fine motor skills all week long!

We used our hands to rip up different pieces of colored paper to make a picture. We made things like rainbows, robots, and dogs! We noticed it was harder to rip the paper the smaller it got!

We made our own books based on the idea that if Chester the Cat can make a book, so can we!! (Chester was the main character in the Melanie Watt books we were reading this week). We were helping students more than we were taking pictures of the process so there are only a couple from this big project!

We made corn art with bubble wrap and made shadow puppets on the white board:

We took advantage of the amazing weather we had this week and explored our newly cleaned up garden with the Puppy class:

In art we had a free choice art party:

But the biggest hit of the week was the Music Concert we had on Thursday by Babloo:

Have a wonderful weekend!
