Monsters!

This week we learned all about monsters...which is an interesting statement because the first thing we learned was that monsters are not real!

One thing we just had to do during our monster unit is we did the Mash! We did the Monster Mash :)

Here is a fun song we danced to that you can do at home too called
KooKoo Kangaroo Monster Moves

The students were very good at making monster faces in front of our monster door:

We made play dough monsters:

We gave monsters haircuts when practicing cutting on lines, curves, and zig-zags:

We journaled what our own monsters would look like if we had them:

We have fun feeding a baby monster candy letters, played a numeral to quantity game with monster eyes, painting plates yellow to make a spooky bat scenes, and dot painted apple numbers and fall q-tip pictures:

We made monsters out of shapes like circles, rectangles, ovals, hearts and trapezoids:

One of the students' favorite things to do this week was go on a monster eyeball hunt around the classroom and then count all the eyeballs on each monster! It was so much fun we had to do it twice!

Wednesday was Apple Crunch Day in the Garden!

Yoga with Miss Lyndee:

And finally, in art we had an art party day!

Have a wonderful weekend!
