Fall Fun!

The leaves outside are taking their time turning those beautiful shades of browns, red, oranges, and yellows but we still had fun learning about the new season we are in!

One activity we did this week was read the book We're Going on a Nature Hunt.

We then went outside and collected lots of fall leaves, acorns, berries and pinecones. 

Then we draw a picture of what we saw on our fall nature walk in our journals:

We practiced numeral to quantity with apples trees:

We made fall frees and read a fall colors coloring book:

We added a light table with marbles to the classroom and completed a halloween puzzle:

The Creve Coeur fire department gave us a tour of their truck and equipment this week:

In Art we learned about hispanic heritage month and learned the phrase "todos juntos" which means 'all together'!

And finally, if you haven't heard by now we have been learning about the word 'contracting' this week and last week with our polar bear toy!

We have been watching the owl contract out of the water and next week we will learn about the word 'expanding' again when we place it back in the water!
